Editorial Standards

Last updated: [September, 2026]

The testing and accommodations content on this site — evaluation processes, diagnostic criteria, accommodations standards for LSAT, MCAT, the Bar, GRE, GMAT, AP exams, and college — is created from direct evaluation experience, not generalized test-prep content. Here’s how it’s produced and kept accurate.

Who Creates and Reviews This Content

I’m Dr. Alan Jacobson, Psy.D., MBA, and I create and clinically review the evaluation and accommodations content on this site myself, drawing on the same process I use in actual evaluations — described in detail on the CLEAR Framework page for example. My credentials and active licensure are listed on the Credentials & Licensure section.

What This Content Is Based On

Content reflects current diagnostic standards (including the DSM-5-TR), the documentation standards testing organizations and higher-education institutions actually require for accommodations, and my own evaluation methodology. Where a page describes what an evaluation for a specific exam or condition involves, it’s describing the real process, including how findings get mapped to legal and institutional standards.

Where AI Tools Fit In

AI tools sometimes help draft or organize these pages, but every clinical and procedural claim — what an evaluation includes, what documentation is required, what a diagnosis means for accommodations eligibility — is created and reviewed by me before publication.

Review & Updates

Accommodations requirements change as testing organizations and institutions update their policies. I review this content periodically and whenever I’m aware of a relevant policy change; reviewed pages show a “last reviewed” date.
